OKU was formed by Helen and Scott out of a desire to harness the wealth of native plants Aotearoa has. Native plants with a rich history of use in many different ways to maintain health and well-being. With their beautiful tea product range they hope to help people rediscover and experience the amazing properties held within the NZ forests.

This KUMARAHOU tea is 100% kumarahou sustainably harvested from the native bush. It has a rich traditional use where it was used for many different ailments including seasonal ills and chills. Known for its stunning yellow flower at the start of spring it has a unique bitter taste that is not for the faint-hearted. But it can be easily diluted down or sweetened by adding a bit of honey, making it so worthwhile drinking this tea!
